It’s not surprising that Jesus quoted Isaiah as much as he did in his teaching. Isaiah lived 700 years before the Lord but he prophesied more about his coming and his legacy to us than all the other prophets combined. In Isaiah 53 he tells us 700 years in advance about his crucifixion and in his first words asks us the question “Who has believed our report and to whom is the arm revealed?” Praise the Lord for calling us individually to become joint heirs through our belief that he is who he says he is and that with his life and death on the cross, and that he rose again to tell us that if we truly believe in him that we have the knowledge that we are worthy of all the blessings of his new covenant and again as Isaiah tells us that now ~ “No weapon formed against us shall prosper”. We can now live free from the fear that the world brings against us in these last days.
